Let's try again...

Ok so my attempt at blogging didn't quite work with my first and last blog 6 months ago! But let's try again...

In 6 months a lot has changed. I have 4 extra boys living in my house! The first addition was a beautiful staffy x lurcher puppy named Frank. He was rescued from the Appleby horse fair and it took a bit of guess work to figure out his breed. He has such a lovely nature: loving, dopey, silly, and very soft.
This is a photo of when he was about 3 months. He's huge now, towering over my springer spaniel Roger.
The next 3 new additions came all at once: my boyfriend Joe and his 2 jack russel dogs named Pug and Zeus. It is an absolute mad house with 4 dogs and a cat outnumbering us 3 humans but they are all such lovely characters I couldn't live without any of them now I've got used to it.
I will take some up to date photos of all the dogs for a future blog post so you can see the madness I have to live with!
I'm also coming to the end of a project where I have been designing a range of interior wallpapers, fabrics and cushions so soon I will post this design range for you to have a nosey at and tell me what you think.

My first post - a taster of what you will get in the future!

First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Mary, I'm 28, I'm a student doing a textiles degree. This is me!
In my little house lives my 10 year old son Ollie, my 11 year old Springer Spaniel Roger, and my 2 year old cat Bill.
Since January 2011 I have been volunteering at my local RSPCA rescue kennels. I absolutely love it up there. I get to do all the fun bits, mainly taking the dogs out for walks, playing with them, and giving them lots of cuddles.
In my blogs I will write lots about the doggies I help out with, and their daily goings on. Their individual stories make me laugh and cry! I will also be throwing in bits about the troubles of single parenting, the struggles of being a mature student, bits of my design work, and plenty more.
So, just a few words from me today, think I've made myself sound a bit of a dog-geek but you may as well know the truth now!
